About Us
Embracing Italian Heritage by researching the lives of our Italian Ancestors.
Ever had the feeling that part of you was missing?
Growing up knowing that part of you was Italian. Hearing vague stories from Grandparents, Great Aunts and Uncles, but not really thinking about it all or what it really meant
A handful of photographs, with strong family resemblances, at the time nothing more than that.
Fast forward twenty years and a desire to remain a European ( with an Italian Passport). Our journey of finding our little Italy began.

Genealogy
Defined as the study and tracing of lines of descent.
Here at Find My Italy, we believe that it is more than just a list of generations, names, dates of birth, marriages and deaths.
Genealogy is a fascinating and compelling journey through the past. Finding out who your ancestors were, where in Italy they originate from.
How have they influenced your own families behaviours and beliefs, what is their story?!
Meet the team
Find My Italy is a partnership between mother and daughter, Pip & Katie.
With skills that complement each other, researching and putting Italian descendents back in touch with their roots is a passion.
I’m Katie Jane, a frustrated writer and young(ish) Genie.
I have a family background in genealogy and have take the mantle from my Paternal Grandmother Pat and joined forces with my mother Pip to delve into the past of our Italian ancestors, finding our own little Italy along the way!
I’m Pip, I love detective stories, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles – recognising the clues, understanding the clues and completing the picture – that’s genealogy ! I achieved ‘O’ level Latin at school which, a lot of years later, I find is enabling me to understand up to 200 year old Italian records – knew it would be useful one day.
